RCREEE: Training Opportunities - BSc in: Engineering, Environmental Studies, Political Science, Economics or Business Administration - Cairo

RCREEE was founded with the broad aim of providing a unique learning and exchange platform on renewable energy and energy efficiency in the Arab region. The ultimate objectives spilled out in the founding document are:  

-       To diffuse the implementation of cost-effective renewable energy and energy efficiency policies, strategies and technologies in the Arab region, and

-       To increase the share of renewable energy and energy efficiency products and services in and from countries from the region on the global market.

RCREEE works through initiating regional policy dialogues and promoting strategies and partnerships favorable to Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency investments in the member states of the Arab region. On October 1, 2011, the total number of RCREEE member states reached 13.

RCREEE offers fresh graduates from its member states 6 internship opportunities at its regional headquarters in Cairo. The internships start on January 2013 for 6 months. The selected intern should be prepared to relocate to Cairo and work in a fast-paced team environment, and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency field and Regional Cooperation.

Duties and Responsibilities
The Intern will work in one of RCREEE projects and under the direct supervision of the Project Manager carrying out the following duties:

General Qualifications:

-       Recent graduate, holder of a BSc in: Engineering, Environmental Studies, Political Science, Economics or Business Administration.

-       Excellent writing, editing and communications skills.

-       Fluency in Arabic and one of the two languages,  English or French,  is a must;

-       Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and meet deadlines; 

-       Enthusiastic about the role of RCREEE and the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency field, and ready to learn. 

-       Internet proficiency as well as proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required

General Terms and Conditions

-       The Internship Program operates on a remunerative basis. For interns from countries other than the host country, costs and arrangements for travel and visa is the responsibility of RCREEE.

-       Non Egyptian interns will receive a monthly amount equivalent to 500 Euros to cover accommodation and living expenses.

-       Non Egyptian Interns are required to provide proof of medical insurance coverage for the internship period before starting the internship.
