An-Najah Alumni Association has concluded the 47th course of its training courses titled "Be Prepared for Work" where 40 students completed this course. The course raised issues of interests to graduates which qualifies them to take their work positions such as: how to write the CV, preparation for job interviews, introduction to the importance of correspondences and writing them in English and Arabic, the importance of computer usage at work, etc.
Mr. Rafe Daraghmeh, Director of the Unit, said that these courses are distinctive through helping the graduates to understand the mechanism of work within institutions related. Mr. Daraghmeh distributed certificates to the participants in a ceremony held at the Unit. He expressed his happiness for the interest of graduates in joining the course and that the new course will begin next week.
In cooperation with the Faculty of Law and the Department of Public Relations, the Unit also held a lecture on "career steering", where 44 students participated of those who were junior and senior students and graduates. Mrs. Caroline Bun, a specialist in International Vocational Training and Personal Development, lectured in the course. She was welcomed by Mr. Daraghmeh, and he appreciated her interest in training the students.
Through the workshop Mrs. Bun trained students in knowing the information that they require to choose careers in order to develop their abilities and motives for having a job as required by the work market. She also dealt with matters to enhance their vocational and personal skills and enabling them to define their future goals. At the end of the workshop certificates were distributed to participants in the training program.
As part of its efforts to provide job opportunities to graduates, the Unit continued to coordinate with many companies and institutions such as Palestinian Statistics Bureau, Unions of Engineers, AlTali'a Company, Nablus Central Alms Committee, Omar Shakhsheer Corporation, Al-Khateeb Corporation in Saudi Arabia and other companies that are looking for graduates to hire them. The meetings with these campanies were successful as a number of job opportunities were provided for graduates of An-Najah. Mr. Daraghmeh mentioned that the Unit helped a number of its graduates in training by sending them to several training courses in different institutions.
The Unit also announced the release of the graduates book of 28th commencement cermony. The Unit invites all graduates to receive their copies as they distributed in the Unit at the Old Campus.
