The agreement was signed by Prof. Rami Hamdallah, the University’s President, on behalf of the University, and by Mr. Bassam Walwil the Chairman of Administration Board at Palestine Injaz Institution.
The agreement signing was attended by Dr. Mohammad Hannon, Vice President of Community Affairs, Mr. Rasheed Al-Kukhun, Director of Financial Department, Mr. Rafe Daraghmeh, Director of An-Najah Alumni Unit, Yasmine Shahrour, Acting Director of Public Relations Department, and Mrs. Randa Salamah, General Director of the Palestine Injaz Instituition.
President Hamdallah stated that signing the agreement comes as a result of the effort and joint collaboration between the university and the institution. This cooperation hopes to enhance the abilities of university students, making use of the courses in many life aspects. He assured that An-Najah National University gives considerable importance to the creation of cooperation programs with different Palestinian Institutions which serve its students as well as the Palestinian community. Investment in the developing of youth’s skills, abilities and empowerment has a significant effect on the development process in Palestine.
From his side, Mr. Walwil stressed the importance of cooperation between the institution and the university indicating that the successful collaboration experience with the university has encouraged the institution to open up relations with other Palestinian universities. He said that the training programs contribute to the development of students’ abilities, which in turn contributes to the process of development to the greater Palestinian community.
Following the signing of the agreement, a graduation ceremony entitled “How to be a Leader, and Career Skills” was held in the Martyr Zafer AlMasri Auditorium at the university. It was attended by Mr. Bassam Walwil, Dr. Hannon, Mr. Daraghmeh and Mrs. Randa Salamah.
At the beginning of the graduation ceremony, Mr. Daraghmeh welcomed the participants to the course and gave a brief introduction to the courses that are held at An-Najah Alumni Unit. Mr. Daraghmeh mentioned that 110 students participated in the courses over the period of two months. Lecturers talked about leadership, administration and work ethics among other important issues.
An agreement was signed today at An-Najah National University between the University and Palestine Injaz Institution in the arena of holding training courses for students of the university. The agreement aims to build students’ leadership and career skills and developing their abilities and qualifications in the different aspects of life.
