The Practical Training Center and the Career Unit organized a training workshop to introduce students and graduates of the College of Engineering and Information Technology to temporary job opportunities offered by Freelancing Platforms for engineers from the fields of civil, mechanical, electrical, industrial, electronic engineering, architecture and various branches of information technology engineering.
During the workshop, participants were introduced to the mechanism of searching for job opportunities on "Onengineering", "Mostql", "Freelancer", and "Upwork" platforms, which provide thousands of temporary job opportunities for those interested in freelancing.
The team of the Career Unit presented samples of job opportunities posted through various platforms, whether those available in the countries of the Middle East or other opportunities available in the rest of the world.
The team of the Career Unit answered the participants' inquiries related to the payment methods and qualifications for this experiment, which may generate adequate revenue for graduates.
Dr. Riyad Abdel Karim, Director of the Practical Training Center and the center’s staff attended the meeting, and Mr. Rafe` Daraghmeh, founder of the Career Unit.
This workshop was done and prepared with the support of Reach Project-The European Union at the Freelancing Laboratory that was recently granted for the Career Unit.
